Manor Adventure

We are looking forward to spending a few days away with Year 5 Children at Manor Adventure, Abernant Centre.

Why not watch their video of the Centre https://www.manoradventure.com/abernant-lake.php

We have taken groups of children for a number of years, the trip is great for personal and social development, teambuilding and friendship skills. Children also learn to develop our schools core values of Respect, Collaboration, Responsibility, Happiness, Creativity and Perseverance

We take part in activities such as kayaking, abseiling, assault course, zip wire, fencing, archery to name a few.

Children sleep in ensuite bedrooms of 4 or 6, with staff bedrooms in the same corridor.

The centre caters for all sorts of dietary requirements and gives a good choice even for the fussiest of eaters!

Please see a copy of the kit list below, noting that children must bring a sleeping bag and pillow and pillow case.

The Health forms are an essential requirement for the trip, this is part of our and the local authorities Safeguarding. So please return them as soon as you can so that we have all the necessary paperwork in order in good time.

Going away can sometimes be more of a challenge to some children than others, so any information/ or concerns you can provide to staff before we go will ensure we can support your child whilst we are there. (However big or small the worry is, it may make all the difference) All information is kept in the strictest confidence, if you wish to have a chat with a member of staff please email us to make an appointment to pop in or for a call.

The Documents for the Trip are below along with last years meeting PowerPoint. In the new year we will have a parent/ carer meeting so give you more information and an opportunity to ask any questions.

Looking for a good book to read and run out of idea? Have a look at the suggestions on the Year 5 book lists to find your next great read!
