Health and Wellbeing Council
Well done to all the children that were elected to represent Gwauncelyn in this brand new council. The Wellbeing Council is made up of 15 pupils who are all passionate about ensuring that the wellbeing of the pupils are at the heart of everything that we do. The council have been discussing ideas and activities that they can deliver within the school, including Children in Need Day, Anti-Bullying Week and Children's Mental Health Week. One of the many excellent ideas that they will be introducing this term is the placement of a 'worry box' in every classroom to allow pupils to write and securely post letters of any issues that are causing them concern. These letters will be reviewed by the class teacher and any appropriate support or help can be arranged. The Wellbeing Council are looking forward to the year ahead and the opportunity to implement as many of their wellbeing ideas as they can.
